Banana Bread Recipe

I just made this this morning and so I thought I would share with you my banana bread recipe. It is so moist and delicious, plus is makes great use of those bananas that maybe sat around too long and now no one wants to eat them! It is also a convenient snack to give to little ones, especially on the go.

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon cloves

1/2 cup butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

2 eggs, beaten

2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas

In a medium bowl mix together flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

In a large bowl cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended.

Stir in flour mixture just enough to moisten.

Pour into a greased 9×5 pan. Bake at 350 for 60-65 min. Let cool 10 min, then transfer to a wire rack.

  1. This is a little scary. I bought a bunch of bananas to “age” today so I can make banana bread. Bananas no longer go bad in my house so I have to buy extra to make bread.
