Oh boy.

Today I was working on getting all the things ready for our trip. The house, the apartment, utilities turned on/changed, etc. I was also getting a small amount of packing done. I have been using the guest bedroom as kind of a staging area to get everything together. So the girls were in there with me today while I was bringing more things in. I had only been out of the room maybe a minute or two and this is what I came back to. Apparently, Alyssa wanted to have a better view out of the window, so she opened up the nightstand drawer, crawled in, and stood up. Mind you, she started off on the floor- not even on the bed or something.

30 Day Challenge, Day 4!

A favorite book

Finally! A topic I have just one answer for. You never thought it would happen, did you? Well, it turns out I don’t really like reading very much so I have not racked up a huge collection of favorite books. While I do have a few I will read over and over again, nothing compares to my first (book) love.

Angels and Demons, by Dan Brown

I can’t tell you how many times I have read this book. What a page turner.

A Whole New Name

Thanks so much to those of you who voted to help me pick the new name for my blog! I really appreciate your input, and I did enjoy seeing the other suggestions. I especially liked “AG & KP… The Twinsters” and “A Tale of Two Twins”. You all are so creative. But, the clear winner of the vote was “Twinfinite Fun”, although many of you thought “Blessed by Twins” should stay in there as well. I had a lot of fun with this, and am very happy with the new name. I hope you enjoy it as well!!

30 Day Blog Challenge, Day 3!

A favorite TV show

Once again, being me, I can’t just put one answer here. Although I could list many, many shows I will try to limit myself. In no particular order:

Charmed (my guilty pleasure)

Lost (the mystery)

The Office (awesomely awkward)

The West Wing (just a great show)

Cops (“Tase him! Tase him!”)

Arrested Development (most quote-able show ever)

O.k. I guess I didn’t really limit myself very much. If I actually have my TV on I am probably watching one of these shows. Yes, I know most of them are off the air… it’s called TV on DVD people.

30 Day Blog Challenge, Day 2!

Today’s post in the challenge is a favorite movie. As I mentioned yesterday I am very indecisive about  favorites, so once again I am going to list multiple options.

Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure (this is actually no contest, it is my all time favorite movie)

1776 (A musical about the signing of the Declaration of Independence- for those of us who grew up watching Boy Meets World, Mr. Feeny plays John Adams!)

The’burbs (Classic Tom Hanks)

30 Day Blog Challenge, Day 1!

A Favorite Song

I am so thrilled it says “A” favorite song, and not “all time” favorite or something. When it comes to favorites, I am actually really indecisive, as you will quickly learn during this challenge. I have to list at least 3 favorites in almost any category.

So, for favorite songs here it goes.

Van Halen– Can’t Stop Lovin’ You (it may surprise many of my friends this is the top played song on my MP3 player, NOT something by Bon Jovi)

Bon J0vi– Wild in the Streets (I can’t not include them on my list though!)

Lee Greenwood– Battle Hymn of the Republic (don’t make fun, I really do love this song)

Changing Names

I have come to the conclusion that the name of my blog is very boring. I have been wanting to change it for a while actually, but if I am going to do it I want the next one to stick. Here are some new names I am throwing around in my head. I need some help from you all. Which one do you like? Is there something you think is better that I have not thought of?

Ramblings of a Twin Mom

The Cheerio Distributor

Twinfinite Fun

Any good suggestions will be added to the list! Please vote (as often as you’d like) for the next two days, and I’ll see what you all think the new name of the blog should be. Thanks for all your help!

My Little Helpers

I started packing for our journey to Santa Rosa this morning. Being the totally anal, obsessive compulsive person that I am, I make lists for everything. I am also terrified to forget something important like diapers, the breast pump, or the girls. 🙂 I have these lists on the computer. One, so I can’t forget where I put them, two, so I can save them for future travel use. I had the document open while I was running all around the house grabbing the few things I could (things we need but are not currently using) and my sweet girls decided to try to help me. So they started adding things to the list. I can’t believe I almost forget to take our “Cccccccccccccccczzzxxxxcvvcc”! Thanks girls! You really saved the day.

We Are In Trouble

My children are crazy. I blame their father. They climb on anything and everything they can. Last week I caught Alyssa standing up on the front bar on their doll stroller. (Let me remind you, the girls are only 10 months old)

I was only out of the room long enough to pull Kylie away from the Christmas tree, and this is what I found. She looked at me like “What?”

Last night Kylie decided to push the pet stairs over to the rocking chair and climb up.

As any good responsible mom would, I took pictures.

Then she climbed up over the arm of the chair and sat in the seat. Don’t ask me how she did this… like I told you, my kids are crazy.

She was very proud of herself though…
