I saw this on another blog I read and thought it was so cute I had to do it for myself. Enjoy!
Something I bought recently.
Since we have living off a little more than unemployment since August, and we are gearing up for a 3 month stint with no income, the list of things I have bought recently consists mostly of food items and utilities. We did, however, shell out a fairly large chunk of change to have a trailer hitch attached to the Subaru. We did this with the intention that the Subaru would pull a small trailer on our drive up to northern California. We made this purchase on December 22.
On December 23, this happened.
Russell was in an accident while pulling out of a grocery store parking lot. Everyone was o.k. but the Subaru took quite a beating. We sent him off to the shop in hopes that he would still be able to make the trip with us (especially since he is our only working car at the moment) but soon found out he will be in the shop about 3 weeks after we have to leave.
Thankfully, my Dad and Step-mom have graciously decided to let us borrow their truck to get our stuff up to Santa Rosa, and will come to pick up the Subaru when he is out of the shop and drive it up to Monterey for us. Without them I don’t think this trip would have happened, and I am so thankful for a family that makes me feel so supported in everything I do.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to make this dream a reality!!!

and here is a special treat… cousin dogpile! I’m the dark one, and that is 7x7xmommy on top of me!
Sorry it is a day late. My excuse is that the batteries in our wireless keyboard were dead. Bummer. Anyways, the post was A Pet Peeve.
Last week I stopped by the fabric store while I was out to check the remnant section. I found this super cute fabric for only .83 cents!! The pattern was too cute (and probably would not show up well) to use on a pair of pants, so I started brainstorming. I modified a couple of patterns to make this little tunic/dress for the girls. Check it out.
Alyssa tried it on, and while it is a tad too big right now, she wore it around for a bit. She did not, however, want to pose for me, so these pictures are the best I got:)
Something I crave.
This also could be a long list of favorites, but I am only going to mention one thing. Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, crushed up, in vanilla ice cream. MMMmmm. So yummy. I am telling you this as something I crave because it is one treat I allow myself almost every day. That may change when I stop breastfeeding and don’t need those additional 500 calories a day, but probably not. 🙂
While this is a treat I traditionally make at home, it could always come in the form of Katie’s Frozen Custard, or a Dairy Queen Blizzard and I would be satisfied.
A fun fact about me.
My name is a palindrome. It is spelled the same forwards and backwards.
Like Bob… or racecar.
Something else that is funny is that when my best friend’s mom met me she couldn’t get my name right and would call me Nanina. In turn, because of the palindrome, my friend started called me Naninan.
A favorite quote
I am a quoter, I love to talk in quotes. Movies, TV shows, past experiences, if it has been said before chances are I will say it again. But like a car with too many bumper stickers, the message of one can get lost in the presence of many. So I am choosing just one quote for you to think on today.
